Maryland Families for Safe Birth

A grassroots, advocacy organization whose  mission is to ensure the health and wellbeing of Maryland families by expanding access to the evidence-based maternity care provided by Certified Professional Midwives. In order to meet this mission MFSB will introduce legislation to recognize licensure of Certified Professional Midwives and regulate their practice of midwifery. . 

Maryland Friends of Midwives

Maryland Friends of Midwives (MFM) is a grassroots organization which protects and supports all forms of midwifery, educates the public about the midwifery model of care and works to increase access to midwifery services.  Join as a member and get involved!

ICAN is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery and promoting vaginal birth after cesarean. ICAN has 110 chapters in North America and Europe, which hold educational and support meetings for people interested in cesarean prevention and recovery.
